Grand Kick-Off from West Coast Headquarters in Beverly Hills, CA, Sunday, September 26
New York, NY, September 23—Billionaires for Bush (B4B), activists for the corporate elite, announced today they will continue their most hands-on tactic of the 2004 Presidential campaign—the “Get on the Limo” Swing State Tour—throughout the southwest. The “Get on the Limo Tour” is the Billionaires’ ongoing campaign to secure the reappointment of President Bush and thus ensure the wealthiest one percent’s continued domination of the middle class.
The “Get on the Limo Tour” will sweep through the southwestern battleground states of Nevada (Las Vegas), Arizona (Flagstaff, Sedona, Phoenix, and Tucson) and New Mexico (Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and Taos) and put a local spotlight on the concerns of the very, very, very rich. Billionaires in their finest formal attire will gracefully stroll from the glitter of Las Vegas to Santa Fe’s adobe, hold “Privatize the Parks” rallies at the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, and Zion National Parks, generate new chapters, and stage face-to-face discussions with the local gentry.
The tour kicks off from the Billionaires for Bush West Coast headquarters in Beverly Hills on Sunday, September 26. The “Get on the Limo Southwest Swing State Tour” will conclude 20 days later with much fanfare at the Heroes Homecoming in Los Angeles on October 16th.
“The real battle this election year is in these contested swing states, where support for Kerry undermines our platform of continued favoritism for those who can afford it,” said Monet Oliver D’Place, Billionaires for Bush National Limo Tour Director. “The term ‘corporate cronyism’ gets tossed around like it’s a bad thing.”
In addition to their signature street theater performances, the Billionaires for Bush musical revue—the Bling Bling K’Ching Singers—will perform, and the Billionaires will have readings from their new book Billionaires for Bush: How to Rule the World for Fun and Profit, (pub: Avalon) at numerous bookstores. The tour will further expand on the over 85 local chapters in the fast-growing Billionaires for Bush phenomenon.
“President Bush has awarded $1.1 trillion in tax cuts to the wealthiest 1%,” said Milli O’Nair of the Meadville, PA, B4B chapter. “I’m participating in the tour to remind all the working-class voters of their $400 tax refund.
